Mandar MLA Bandhu Tirkey is taking stock of the Government hospital and community health centres in Palamu. Tirkey said he is on the whirlwind tour at the behest of the Health Minister Banna Gupta.
On Tuesday, he was in the community health centre at Panki. District Congress president Bittu Pathak accompanied him.
Tirkey said he saw dirt and filth in this community health centre at Panki. He said the health centre should be as neat and clean as that of the temple.
The medical officer in charge Dr Mahender Kr Prasad said the leaf fall of the huge peepal tree on the campus had definitely rendered the look to be of uncleanliness which he said would be purged of.
Tirkey said he found the store room helter and skelter with medicines lying on the floor while the stock register too was not up-to-date.
He said the store keeper here just doesn't take care of things and simply whiles away his time here.
Dr Mahender Kr Prasad conceded there were medicines lying on the floor adding he had brought in rakes where medicines will be arranged alphabetically.
