As per information received, on Wednesday evening some locals of Chaliatard had gone to the woods to collect some firewood. They spotted a college paper, admit card, and clothes in the bushes under a tree also lying nearby.

They approached the clothes and spotted what appeared to be human skeletal remains. They returned home and informed their neighbours about their finding. The missing youth's brother identified the clothes as those of his brother Sagar, after which the locals informed the cops.

On reaching the site, the police checked the pockets of the clothes and found the Admit card of Sagar Kumar Das along with college papers. Establishing the identity, the police then sent the remains for autopsy which is likely to be conducted on Thursday.
