One minor was killed at Sahebganj after an overhead electric wire fell down on Muharram procession on Tuesday. Police said the wire fell down after it was hit by the ‘tazia’ being carried by the devotees during Muharram at Anjuman Nagar under Jiwabari Out-Post in Sahebganj.
“A 10 year old boy has been killed after tazia hit the overhead wire and fell upon him. Two others also got burn injuries during the incident and have been admitted to the Sadar Hospital in Sahebganj,” said Officer in Charge of Jiwabari Outpost.
The OC said the incident took place at around 7 pm in the evening when the procession was heading towards its destination.
