Ministry of Culture, Government of India through a study titled ‘Documentation and Compilation of the Best Practices of Sustainable Development as propounded by Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay’ endeavors to identify, document, compile and disseminate Antyodaya based best practices of these organisations and individuals across India.

The selected best practices through a process will form part of the report to be published by the Ministry, and these will be disseminated across states by conducting state/ regional level workshops/ conferences. Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN) a Delhi based organisation has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the above study.

According to Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, MP Rajya Sabha, President Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and National Vice President, Bhartiya Janata Party, one of the minds for the conceptualisation of the above study “In today’s time when the government is committed to uplift the disadvantages sections in the country, ‘Antyodaya philosophy’ of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay holds even more significance, and it is pertinent that learning and experience of organisations and individuals is documented, and presented in the form of alternatives to existing models that are more prevalent. We need models that have roots and history of achieving success working at the grassroots”.
