Amidst tight security procession of Milad-un-Nabi passed-off peacefully in Bokaro; the followers of Islam (muslim people) celebrated the birthday of Prophet Mohammed, with gaiety on Monday.
Thousands of people participated in the procession along with green flags and tricolour (national flag) to mark the occasion. The rally started from different nooks and corners of the city, merged into a big rally at Naya More. later it was moved for Karbala Maidan.
After passing through Nayamore, Co-operative colony, BMP camp more, lakrigola, Bari Co-operative more, Sonatand, Siwandih and Makhdumpur the rally culminated at Karbala Maidan. Sherbet and other eatables were distributed by various individuals and organisations through the procession route.
Elaborate security arrangements were made by the City Police to ensure peaceful conduct of the celebrations.
