MGNREGA workers to share experiences with Govt reps

Published on:

Thousands of MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) workers in Jharkhand will today get the opportunity to share their experiences with the Government machinery pressed for providing jobs under the coveted scheme that was launched with the objective of alleviating poverty in rural areas.

Around 5,000 workers directly employed under the scheme will congregate for one-day conference at Ranchi to demand what they deem to be justified in their endeavour to defeat poverty and live a dignified life. “The MGNREGA workers will share their experiences with each other and with the representatives of the State Government,” said State Manager, Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS), Johnson Topno.
