District MGNREGA employees sat on dharna in favour of their five points demand at district head office. Due to strike the works of the MGNREGA office affected. The district head Mattiullah Prawez said, “We have been providing services on this few remuneration for a long time. But or future is not safe.”
They demanded their services to extend for 60 years, recruitment on compassionate ground, insurance, exemption in age limit, promotion on time basis, reservation and some other issues. Up to 28 Nov their demands had not been considered and so they would go on a strike from 29 Nov.
