Hold your nerves in this scorching heat because mercury will be rising two to three degrees more in the next five days. This hot and humid weather is an indication that the warmest month of the year ‘May’ is arriving.
G Mohanty, Director, India Meteorological Department said, “The temperature at the day and night hours are expected to rise. It is because of the solar radiation.”
“This is an obvious phenomenon since last year because May is recorded as the warmest month of the year wherein there is intense radiation flow. For the coming five days temperature will rise around 40 degrees.
Partly cloudy condition might also prevail but the hot and humid scenario will persist,” added Mohanty.
Adding more details to the matter, Birsa Agricultural University’s Agricultural Physics and Meteorology Chairman Dr Abdul Wadood said, “In Jharkhand high temperature is usually followed with some weather development. There is nothing to worry. light showers may occur within a day or two but the temperature will certainly go upto 40 to 42 degrees.”
Humidity is probably a new weather change it is a signal that the Chota Nagpur area is abundant with water reserves. “Humidity relates to rainfall soon,” added Dr Wadood.
