The weather may not spoil the mood of the festivity of the New Year celebration as the weather is expected to remain dry in Jharkhand on January 1. In Jharkhand, mercury has further dipped and fog and mist are likely to continue on the day first of the new year. But the Met Department has said that there is no likelihood of rain and there will be clear weather in the afternoon of January 1.
Met Department in Patna and Ranchi have similar weather predictions about Jharkhand as people are worried that bad weather may force people to stay indoors.
"There is no indication of whether remaining unpleasant on New Year’s Day. The chart analysis and satellite imagery all suggest pleasant weather in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Daltonganj and elsewhere,” said Abhishek Anand, head of Ranchi Meteorological Centre. Anand said that will be chill in the air but it will not bite.
He said that maximum temperatures are expected around 24- 25°C and minimum readings may go up to 11-12°C in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro and several other places on New Year's Day.
The IMD forecast has said that the adverse weather conditions would prevail in Jharkhand at least till the next 24 hours. This is because of the western disturbance passing through northern parts of the country coupled with cyclonic circulation over Uttar Pradesh. But the weather will gradually improve and the sky will be less cloudy allowing sunlight.
There is a possibility of rain in isolated places in north-eastern Jharkhand besides dense fog on Friday. Besides, a sudden rise in minimum temperatures across Jharkhand is also expected.
