Three month long mega health camp covering 15 blocks of Ranchi and Saraikela will be inaugurated on Sunday by Congress leader cum Member of Parliament Subodh Kant Sahay at Sonahatu block.

The camp is being coordinated with joint collaboration of Empower Jharkhand and Indrani Brajdeo Sahay charitable organisation. Political leader Sunil Sahay who is also the member of Indrani Brajdeo Sahay charitable organization and brother of Subodh Kant said, “The camp would be unique as it will provide check up opportunities for cardiac, skin, dental, eye, orthopaedic and physically challenged patients. We are beginning with Sonahatu since the government hospital here lacks adequate medical facilities.”

Among these 15 blocks, 11 blocks are of Ranchi including Sonahatu, Silli, Angada, Rahe, Namkum, Ormanjhi, Kanke, Nagri, Ratu, and Burmu. Saraikela blocks include Chandil, Nimdih and Kukru. The organisers have planned to invite specialists outside Ranchi for patients suffering with above mentioned health problems. “Our main purpose is to treat the patients in such the way with proper medicines that they don’t need to move out of the State for better medical benefits,” added Sunil Sahay.

The aim is to reach around 50,000 patients within this entire medical tour. They have decided to conduct a two day camp exclusively for disabled patients who would be given necessary equipment required by them for survival. Disability certificates would be prepared as well. “For large blocks, the camp will be of two days but for small blocks it would be held for a day,” said Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, president of Empower Jharkhand.
