The Additional Collector Palamu has convened a meeting of officials of as many as seven departments on Wednesday with regard to the transfer of land. Sources said as the Nilamber Pitamber university is also a stakeholder it has also been invited for the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Palamu K Srinivasan will preside over the meeting.
The others who have been invited are DFO Palamu, SE Electricity, Civil Surgeon Palamu, DEO, Palamu and DSE Palamu, Principal government polytechnic institute latehar and CO Sadar.
The meeting of the Additional Collector gains momentum as only on this December 12 Deputy Commissioner Palamu has issued an NoC for 23.97 acres of gair majrua jungle jharee land for the NP university.
DC Palamu K Srinivasan told The Pioneer that an NoC has been granted to NPU. This NoC is being seen here as a major step forward in getting 41.05 acres of land for this university.
Srinivasan said with this NoC things for transfer of land to NPU will get accelerated now but also added that the NPU too must act fast and swift like filing on line application for transfer of 41.05 acres of land.
Sources said jungle jharee on gair majrua land had almost suffocated the development in the State. No DC was competent to issue NoC for gair majrua jungle jharee if it was more than 5 acres.
However on 30.4.2015 the State Government's revenue and land reform department resolved to vest power with DCs to grant NoC for gair majrua jungle jharee land upto 25 acres.
Sources said this vesting of power with the DCs removed many a big hindrance in transfer of gair majrua jungle jharee land.
The land 41.05 acres to be transferred is of Water Resources development department. This 23.97 acre of gair majrua jungle jharee land out of 41.97 acres had sealed the fate of transfer of this particular jungle jharee acre but now with DCs empowered by the State Government to issue NoC for such land upto 25 acres the NPU has now reasons to cheer up.
DC Palamu K Srinivasan said with this NoC for 23.97 acre of gair majrua jungle jharee land it is expected the land issue for NPU will get settled in other three to four months time.
