Dr RD Nagesh head of the department of surgery Medinirai medical college at Pokhraha has been tipped to be the new medical superintendent of the Medinirai medical college hospital in Daltonganj said sources.
The medical college and medical college hospital are 7 kilometers apart from each other.
Sources said a letter to this effect has been issued by the principal of the Medinirai medical college at Pokhraha Dr Jyoti Ranjan Prasad.
Principal Jyoti Ranjan Prasad said this situation arose because of the medical superintendent KN Singh becoming covid positive.
The Principal said he spoke to the DC Shashi Ranjan and in consultation with the DC recommended the name of Nagesh to be the medical superintendent to be approved by the health department till further notice.
John F Kennedy the civil surgeon is also fighting covid attack in Patna following which Anil Kumar Srivastav has been made the civil surgeon Palamu.
Sources said the district reproductive child health officer Anil Kumar Singh is yet to come over the covid attack and is under treatment in Aurangabad.
The latest to join the sick brigade is KN Singh medical superintendent who is substituted by Nagesh.
Sources said there were floating a few more names for the post of the medical superintendent but it was on Nagesh that the decision rested.
