Amid lack of well-equipped medical centres and crisis of expert medicos across the State of Jharkhand the residents of the State can see rays of light at the end of the dark tunnel as a major industrial centre and the fourth-largest city in Jharkhand, Bokaro, is coming up with a super specialty hospital centre namely Medicant Hospital & Research Centre at BIADA colony. The coming up of the hospital in Bokaro is largely due to the efforts of local MLA Biranchi Narayan, who said all his focus is to ensure his constituency and state should flourish not only in terms of industries but medical infrastructure too so that people of city and state should eye at this Jharkhand hospital rather moving to other states for advanced level treatment at low cost with best treatment facilities.
At present in Bokaro various Hospitals cater to the health-related needs of people but all have limited treatment facilities. Any critical disease and for advance level treatment people in and around Bokaro have to go to other states. Therefore, the much needed Super Specialty Hospital Medicant will prove to be a milestone. The super specialty hospital will be equipped with all modern facilities having a total of 74 ICU beds, 176 non-critical beds and 65 service beds.
Under the clinical surgical disciplines of this hospital Surgical Oncology, Orthopedics (Joint replacement) Neurosurgery, General surgery, CTVS surgery, urology ophthalmology among other treatments will be available. Also, the facility of organ transplant will be available in this hospital under phase 2. In clinical disciplines general medicines, medical oncology, cardiology, nephrology, neurology, bone marrow transplants (BMT) will also be available including various other high level treatment features including primarily Cancer treatments.
Also this hospital will be equipped with all kinds of support services like ACLS ambulance, BLS Ambulance food beverages- dietetics, kitchen including Cafeteria, food court, medical record services and PSA oxygen plant etc. Apart from this since this Hospital being equipped with a high level machine hence its calibration is extremely critical consequently an integrated Calibration setup would be there which would 12th of its own kind in India.
