In a continuous effort to provide aid to pilgrims during the Shravani Mela, the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has been organizing a primary healthcare camp near Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar) for the past 25 years. This year, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, BSL dispatched its medical mobile unit, 'Ispat Sanjeevani', from the Steel House premises on August 1. The unit, comprising medical personnel and volunteers, was flagged off by BSL’s Director-in-Charge, Birendra Kumar Tiwari.
Prominent attendees at the flag-off ceremony included Executive Director (Projects & Additional Charge Material Management) C.R. Mahapatra, Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) Suresh Rangani, Executive Director (HR & Additional Charge Works) Rajan Prasad, Executive Director (Mines) Joydeep Dasgupta, and BGH’s Executive In-Charge Dr. Indranil Choudhary. Additionally, senior officials from various departments and members of the Baidyanath Seva Trust were present.
Tiwari reviewed the preparations for the camp, including the availability of medicines and other necessary supplies. The medical team and volunteers, equipped with first aid medicines, bandages, and other essential items, embarked on their journey with chants of "Bol Bam," symbolizing their commitment to the welfare of the pilgrims.
