A law awareness programme was held in the venture of District law Services Authority in Nyay Sadan. The camp was addressed by the lawyers Neelam Shekhar, Kumari Sheela and Madhusudan Ganguli.
The lawyers informed the participants about solving cases through mediations. Several cases which are of minor nature were also sorted out on the occasion.
lawyer Madhusudan Ganguli said, “Through this way cases are solved by mutual consent and both parties win. The parties do not pay any fee. The loads on the court can be lessened this way. The judicial system is long term system where both the parties suffer financial loss. It takes a lot of time too. In the mediator system the judges lay a vital role and give judgment in the benefits and welfare of both the parties. The mediator officer talks in the same language of the parties so that the parties would not have to face any difficulty.”
“Here no order is passed. The judges try to understand the psychology of both the parties. They are free for consent. The matters are solved out in 60 to 90 days. The camp people are appealed to solve their matter by the mediator system,” Ganguli concluded. On the occasion all the employees and judicial officers were present.
