Father Ravi Ranjan finally got custody of his minor son Rakshit Kumar on Thursday through mediation done by mediator Advocate lK Giri at mediation centre in Ranchi.
Ranjan had filed a petition in the Family Court in Ranchi seeking custody of his minor son, who had been living at his maternal grandfather’s house after his mother expired a few years back, which was ultimately referred for mediation looking at the possibility of getting it settled through mutual consent.
The petition was filed by Ranjan in 2017 while the case was referred for mediation on March 5, this year and took six sittings to get it settled. Advocates Shyamal Das and Rakesh Jha, counsel of both sides, contributed a lot in getting the matter settled.
The child will be handed over to his father on April 21 in the Family Court.
