The students of Delhi Public School, Bokaro witnessed the presence of Pranab Mukherjee, an independent media analyst, curator and a performance consultant as a guest speaker on Friday.
While addressing the students of class XI & XII in two different sessions, he discussed about personal benchmark and opined that benchmark is not a goal but a basic choice of work.
He emphasised that one must learn to be disciplined. Narrating the incidences of eminent personalities like
Dr BR Ambedkar he gave an insight into the life.
Dr Hemlata S. Mohan, Director and Chief learning Officer, DPS Bokaro spoke of Parnab as a versatile personality and thanked him for urging students to be sensitive to be change makers. She motivated the students to think “out of the box.”
Pranab talked about multiple career options and stressed the need for asking oneself, as to what one wants to achieve in life, to identify one’s strength.
For achieving success in any work, he opined that one must have passion for the same. He explained that academic achievements is not sufficient to crack the code of life but doing something close to one’s heart makes us achievers.
Discussing the importance of communicative skills and the role of school and its importance in a child’s life, Pranab highlighted that school is a fundamental learning platform that prepares us for life. The programme ended with an interactive session wherein he shared his experiences and provided information on various institutions for exploring different career opportunities.
