MECON presented the dividend cheque of Rs. 10.35 crore to the Minister of Steel, Beni Prasad Verma on August 6. MECON declared 20% dividend on equity share capital amounting to Rs.8.03 crore and 5% dividend on preference share capital amounting to Rs.2.32 crore.
AK Tyagi, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, MECON presented the cheque to the Minister of Steel. On this occasion senior officials of Ministry of Steel and MECON were present. The Minister lauded the efforts of MECON for its ongoing turnaround, resulting in declaring dividend for the second consecutive year in the past 14 years. The company has contributed Rs.153.08 crore to the national exchequer during the year.
