MECON ltd participated in the two-day Steel Mart Exhibition cum Conference held at CII Conference Hall in Chandigarh on 22 and 23 July. Various Government PSU’s and private steel sector companies have participated in the exhibition. Narendra Singh Tomar Union Minister of Steel & Mines inaugurated the exhibition on Thursday.
MECON stall depicted the various achievements of MECON and the areas where MECON is rendering its services. The ‘Sun Never Sets in MECON’ ellaborated on the achievements of MECON in the areas of Iron & Steel sector and Non-Ferrous sector. ‘Embellishing the Nation’ depicted MECON’s strong hold in the area of Infrastructure. MECON’s expertise in the Power Sector was shown ‘Energizing with Excellence’.
The Oil & Gas Sector of MECON was depicted as the ‘Engineering the Economic lifeline’. MECON also displayed the panel of two prestigious integrated steel plant namely Rourkela Steel Plant (SAIl) and ISP Burnpur Steel Plant (SAIl) which were dedicated to the nation by honourable Prime Minister of India.
The stall also depicted MECON’s contribution in ‘Make in India’ campaign in which indigenised & developed technologies were shown.
Eminent persons who visited the exhibition were –Narendra Kothari, CMD NMDC, P. Madhusudan , CMD RINl, SS Mohanty, Director (Technical) SAIl, Sreekant Somany Chairman, CII, Northern Region & CMD, Somany Ceramic ltd. appreciated MECON’S stall
The Minister also visited MECON Stall and appreciated MECON’s efforts. MECON representative welcomed the Hon’ble Ministers and other dignitaries by presenting the flower bouquet at MECON Stall.
