Mayor Asha lakra on Saturday suspended the Chief Engineer of RMC, Suresh Paswan on behavioural grounds. Taking stringent action against a Ward Councilor, Mayor has also sent a letter to Urmila Devi of ward 44 to justify and clear her stance. Urmila Devi on March 27 during the Standing Committee meet has used “abusive language” against the Mayor and got involved in ruckus with her while the proceeding were going on.
Similarly, the Chief Engineer as well is said to have stated that dictatorial attitudes are used here and due to Mayor’s attitude none of the RMC officials are unable to carry out their work smoothly.
Mayor referring to the Municipal Act has decided to take action against the offenders. “No one can shamelessly breach the guidelines and can decide everything by themselves. I have asked the Ward Councilor for a written explanation. Since I have given time to the Chief Engineer to explain on what ground he had accused me, he did not took the pain to answer me back. Even setting the deadline of April 7, none of the official approached me,” said, the Mayor. She has suspended all the tenders notified without her consent.
