In a major attempt to address the parking problems at MG Road, Mayor Asha lakra during a meeting today with the Gnostic Solution head, Ajay Kumar, instructed the company owner to streamline the parking service before June 25.
Notably, on January 26, a Bengaluru based firm, Gnostic Solution has taken up the charge of managing the parking space along the busiest route. Applying the colour code pattern to reduce the traffic snarl at MG Road, police verification of all staffs appointed by the company has been made mandatory by the Municipal Corporation.
Besides, all the staffs engaged in managing parking at MG Marg will now have to keep proper identity cards. No staffs of the concerned firm can issue parking receipts to the vehicle owners without having proper identity cards.
The company has been also instructed to keep all seized vehicle from no parking zone at Bakri Bazaar. All the vehicles parked at the designated parking space will be the sole responsibility of the company.
During the meeting, the Mayor has said that if the company fails to take up the charge as per the decision taken in the meeting, the company will be debarred from the service from June 30. Meanwhile, admitting the fault, Ajay Kumar, the owner of the company has assured that all the staffs will be given behavioral training before deploying them at Main Road for the convenience of the customers.
