CM, Raghubar Das has instructed Mayor, Asha lakra to carry out the works of the municipal corporation in coordination with other officials of the civic body. During a short meeting with the Mayor on Wednesday, CM told the Mayor to work following the Municipal Corporation Act. During the meeting, lakra also shared some important ongoing project details with the CM.
“On the call of CM, a meeting was conducted focusing on some prominent public welfare activities. The CM has clearly mentioned that the Mayor must be consulted in taking important decisions during the Board meeting and deciding agendas for the meeting,” said Mayor Asha lakra.
Meanwhile, lakra conducted a review meeting with the stakeholders on matters involving an amount of Rs. 50 lakh. In the presence of Deputy Mayor, Sanjiv Vijayawargia and other officials of the corporation, one month extension has been given to Essel Infra, the company involved in managing and disposing solid waste in the city.
Besides, a deadline has been fixed for carrying out the ponds restoration and beautification projects. By June 30, beautification work of few ponds must get
complete. “The company involved in the ponds restoration project work must complete the work of first phase by June 30. Beautification work of Madhukam pond, Joda Talaab is in the stage of completion, the company has been instructed to ensure that all major changes made in the detailed project report (DPR) must be done during the completion of the projects,” said lakra.
In another major decision during the review meeting, Ayesha Developer, the company that has taken up the charge of three major roads that includes Ranchi-Kanke Chauri Basti, lane from Ankur Medica to CCl and the road leading from Sido Kanhu towards Hatma Basti has been debarred from the service as the company has not been able to complete the task in the given deadline.
“Violating some clauses including not completing the tasks of three major routes on time, Ayesha Developer has been blacklisted. The company was supposed to complete the task of re-carpeting the roads in November 2016 itself. The civic body has given the task to the respective company on May 2016,” said the Mayor. During the meeting instructions have been also issued to change the sites of community centers coming up at ward number 2 and 24.
