Anurag Singh Charitable Trust in collaboration with St Xavier’s School Doranda Ranchi organised 8th Anurag’s MasterMind Quiz Competition here on Saturday.
As many as 53 teams from 20 schools participated in the competition where DPS, Ranchi got the first position and JVM, Shyamali and St. Xavier’s School got second and third position respectively.
Besides customary trophy and medals, winning teams were also given cash prizes of Rs 20,000, Rs 10000, and Rs 5000. School from other cities like Jamshedpur and Hazaribagh also participated in the competition.
Anurag Singh Charitable Trust was founded in 2011 in the memory of Anurag Singh and is run by his mother Anita Singh.
Anita Singh has committed her life to make Anurag’s dreams come true. Besides the annual quiz competition, the Trust provides education assistance to approx. 100 poor children, organizes medical camps and provides medicines, organizes regular eye camps for the poor and gets cataract operations done and also provides free spectacles to those with poor vision.
Now a days, the Trust is focusing on providing vocational training to the children to enable them to stand on their own feet and be self sustainable.
