Marandi urges Govt to clear stand on Ayushman scheme, Sarna religion

BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi today took a big dig at the state government. Marandi put the state government in the dock on two major issues of the state. Marandi expressed deep concern over the state government depriving the people of the state of the benefits of the Ayushman scheme.

He said that the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which is a unique initiative of the Government of India in the field of health, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the land of Jharkhand, is lying idle in Jharkhand today.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided treatment facilities up to Rs 5 lakh for the poor. Under the provision of this scheme, the participation of the central government is 60% and that of the state government is 40%. And if the state government runs it under a different name in its state scheme, then this ratio becomes 40:60. In Jharkhand, it is running in the same ratio under the Chief Minister Health Scheme.

He said that under the provision of Jharkhand government, along with red card, yellow card, green card holders, state employees, pension holders, journalists, lawyers etc. are also included.

He said that the state government has made many announcements for applause but the reality is the opposite.

Today the public is upset with the decisions of the government. The Hemant government has made it mandatory to have 30-bed hospitals for rural areas and 50 beds for urban areas. Whereas this rule is not suitable for rural areas at all. 30-bed hospitals are not available in the rural areas of Jharkhand. Whereas in the decisions of the Government of India, provision has been made for 10-bed hospitals. In such a situation, this government wants to benefit big hospitals with its decisions.

He said that not only this, out of the 750 hospitals listed in the Chief Minister Health Scheme in the state, according to the information received, payment of 538 hospitals has not been made since February 25. And the outstanding payment of 212 hospitals has not been made for the last 10 months.

On Congress JMM carrying flags in the name of Sarna Code, Marandi said that if Congress JMM is concerned about Sarna tribals, they should not do half-hearted work, they should do it fully. Protection of Sarna religion and culture is more important than Sarna Code.

Citing the data of 2011 census, he said that in 2011, the total population of Jharkhand was 3,29,88,134, out of which 86,45042 were tribals. In 2011, the total population of tribals in the state was 26.20%. In this, 14,18,608 are Christians. That is, 15.48% of the total tribal population have become Christians.

If we look at it caste-wise and in detail, 26% Oraon, 33% Munda (including Patar Munda), 0.85% Santhal, 2.14% Ho and 67.92% Kharia have become Christians. And this figure is from about 15 years ago. That is, 4.30% of the total population of Jharkhand are Christians.

Marandi asked the top leadership of JMM Congress, Hemant Soren, Rahul Gandhi to explain that if the tribals keep getting separated from their religion and culture like this, then who will fill the Sarna religion code.
