Marandi targets Govt on withdrawing 2016 recruitment policy

Former Chief Minister and BJP legislative party leader Babulal Marandi targeted the State Government for withdrawing 2016 recruitment rules made by erstwhile BJP Government headed by Raghubar Das. The State Government, based on cabinet decision on Wednesday, withdraws 2016 recruitment rules. Marandi said that instead of giving jobs to the youth of the state, the State Government is engaged in snatching jobs from youths.

The BJP leader also has accused the JMM/Congress alliance government of its failure to meet people’s expectations. Marandi, the senior BJP leader said that JMM/Congress alliance came to power making false promises. He said that the present government has failed in fulfilling any of its poll promises such as giving five lakh jobs to youths.

He said that state government policy is not going to protect the interests of Jharkhand. “Instead of giving jobs to youths, the government is canning youths sitting on dharna in support of their demands. Jobs given by the former government are also snatched,” added Marandi.  He has urged the government to study the 2016 recruitment policy once again and withdraws its decision. He said BJP is standing to remove constitutional hiccups. He also said that the government should stop running on the directions of administrative officials. This decision is anti-Jharkhand, the government has betrayed the youth of Jharkhand.

It may be noted that in September last year the Jharkhand High Court cancelled the recruitment of thousands of teachers and officials that was finalised on a 2016 policy providing 100 per cent reservation for local candidates living in 13 scheduled districts of the state, describing it as a violation of fundamental rights.

The court declared the policy null and void and scrapped the advertisement that was issued to announce the recruitment drive in 2016.

BJP State General Secretary Aditya Sahu, media in-charge Shivpujan Pathak, spokesperson Saroj Singh were present at today's press conference.
