Marandi takes a dig on RIMS director’s removal

BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi took a dig at the dismissal of RIMS Director.

He said that it is very unfortunate that Dr. Rajkumar was removed from the post of RIMS Director due to opposing the corruption of the Health Minister and departmental officials in the RIMS Governing Council meeting held recently and not following the order of improper payment.

Marandi said that it has been learned that in the recent meeting of the Governing Council, the Health Minister and the Departmental Secretary themselves were putting pressure on the RIMS Director to pay crores of rupees to private diagnostic centers without any contract. During this, the Departmental Secretary also tried to hurt the dignity of the Governing Council. Along with not accepting the pressure of improper payment, the Director had even said that he would resign in that meeting.

He further said that now the government has made its intention clear by removing the RIMS Director from the post that the game of corruption will continue in RIMS like this. Earlier, in the last tenure of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, due to not accepting improper pressure, many directors of RIMS had to resign prematurely and leave from here. If the government does not want to accept the advice of the governing body, then it would be better to dissolve it rather than holding a formal meeting.

Marandi also reacted on Chief Minister's foreign tour. Marandi said that today the law and order in the state has collapsed, murders are taking place in broad daylight, power crisis has deepened. and amidst all this, the Chief Minister is leaving for Sweden and Spain with a large government delegation, taking his MLA wife along.

He said if the purpose of this trip is to bring foreign investment, then the biggest question is why is the Industry Minister not being taken along? The Secretary and Director of the Industry Department are included in this delegation, but the name of the Industry Minister is missing from the list. Does the minister have no role in the investment talks?
