Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (P) Supremo, Babulal Marandi on Monday took a major decision to change the education system of Jharkhand and announced that if his party is voted to power, every student of State will get a laptop after 10th and 12th standard.

Addressing a press meet Marandi said that it is a unique scheme, in which every student will be added with the scheme.

“Under the laptop distribution scheme, there will be no discrimination against any student, caste, religion or any kind.

This scheme will be for every student of Jharkhand. The students of every section of the State will get the benefit of this facility. With the benefit of this scheme, every student of Jharkhand will no longer lag behind the rest of the states of the Country,” said Marandi.

Speaking about importance of the scheme the party Chief said that with this laptop scheme, good quality of video courses will also be made available for the preparation of all competitive exams like IIT JEE, Medical, CAT, IAS, SSC, Bank PO, Railway and others.

“All these courses can be seen without internet connections in remote areas of the State. All video courses will be made available in Hindi for all students coming from rural areas. Toll free number 9773681682 will be released for the program. There will be automatic registrations and the last date of registration is 31 October,” he added.

Marandi said that the scheme will not cost as much as the amount that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spent to fly elephants. BJP has done nothing for 5 years in the field of education, he added.

“All the expenses of studies will be sponsored by the Government, which will also bear the cost of technical education training programme. Technical education will be provided and girls will be trained. We want to increase English as well as Hindi,” said Marandi. The party president said that he wanted to make Jharkhand fully educated so that the State should not lag behind with other States.

He said that when he became first Chief Minister of the State, he had distributed cycles so that the girls could go to school. “Now if we get a chance, we will distribute laptops so that every child of Jharkhand can be educated with the speed of technology,” he added.
