BJP Legislature Party leader and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today attacked the State government. Marandi said that the government was not able to answer the questions of the legislators of the ruling party and not the Opposition. The legislators of the ruling party also constantly put the government in the dock. The government is completely scared of the questions of the people. Marandi was addressing a press conference at the BJP State Office.
He said that BJP MLAs wanted answers from the government on public issues, corruption, famine, employment of youth, law and order, murder of a police officers, cow smuggling, appeasement, Islamization of education, appeasement in the name of Urdu school, loot of mineral resources, loot of sand etc in the House, but instead of facing these issues, the government kept shying away from answering to the questions.
He said that four BJP MLAs were suspended unconstitutionally even though one of them was not even present in the House. He said that today the Speaker first adjourned the House for some time and later arbitrarily adjourned the House indefinitely a day before without convening a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee.
Marandi further said that the Parliamentary Affairs Minister of the government should have told that now there is no business left with the government. On the other hand many legislative business of the House were still pending for this session period.
He said that the point on which the Speaker adjourned the session is also ridiculous in the democratic system. Even before this, there has been a ruckus in the House on the questions of the public. The duty of the opposition is to put the government in the dock regarding public problems. But, the way the House was adjourned in an undemocratic manner today, it is clear that the government is not only unresponsive but is also afraid.
Marandi said that the MLA representative of the Chief Minister is in jail, the Press Advisor is in the ED's office. Prior to this, senior IAS officers are imprisoned in a corruption case, the Chief Minister is silent. Everything is clear in the whole story of corruption. That's why the Chief Minister ran away from answering. He said that the Chief Minister should now resign.
Party MLA and Chief Whip Viranchi Narayan, MLA Anant Ojha, JP Patel, Randhir Singh, Neera Yadav, Raj Sinha, Manish Jaiswal, Kedar Hazra and party spokesperson Kunal Sarangi were also present in the press conference.
