The Daltonganj police are on the live wire following a burning of a four-wheeler belonging to a senior English teacher of Nilamber Pitamber University, identifed as NK Singh, here in the Bellwatiker Mohalla of Daltonganj town.
According to DIG police Palamu, Saket K Singh, the four-wheeler car was parked right in front of the teacher’s house. However, on last midnight the teacher and family members felt something and when they came out to see what was happening outside they found his luxury car burning.
DIG conceded that a typed leaflet claiming to be of the CPI Maoist has been found some distance from the house of NK Singh.
The alleged leaflet of the Maoists had a warning note to contractors not to start any construction before bending before the Maoists.
The leaflet had also a note of warning to the supporters and sympathizers of JJMP and TPC.
Sources said the Assistant Professor of English cum incharge NPU’s journalism & mass communication department NK Singh has a spotless career and leads an ordinary and simple life and has no association with anyone, a fact even accepted by the police here.
On being asked about the incident, the police officer said “Police are investigating the incident.”
Taking a note of the “talk of the town” that college teacher’s four-wheeler was burnt by mistake as in the same neighbourhood of this college teacher in Belwatiker there lives a contractor who too owns a four wheeler and that too remains parked in the open near the road.
