Anuradha alias Ranjita got bail from the court and she was released from the JP Central Jail after about three years. Anuradha was arrested on October 11, 2009 from Patna. At that time she was the chief of women wing of Maoists of Bihar-Jharkhand area.

To receive Anuradha her family members have come from Mahboob Nagar, Andhra Pradesh, and as she came out of the jail she started weeping, as the jail policemen saw and said. Perhaps these tears were of both joy and sorrow because on one hand after a long gap she was meeting her family members and on the other hand her husband Ravi Sharma, a Polit Bureau member of Maoists, is still behind the bars.

It was October 10, 2009 when Hazaribagh police had arrested her husband Ravi Sharma alias Ashok Sharma, a resident of Mahboob Nagar, Andhra Pradesh, from Ichak More during a vehicle checking drive on NH33. As per police records at that time cash amount of Rs 60,000, a 9mm pistol and a laptop were recovered from Ravi Sharma.

After registering FIR No. 164/09 Hazaribagh police started interrogation and then arrested his wife Anuradha from Patna who was serving in a bank at that time. Since then this couple was in JP Central Jail, Hazaribagh. Anuradha engaged herself inside the bars in the work of teaching the illiterate prisoners and recently she had started teaching the kids of those female prisoners whose wards are with them. last month when a reporter asked Anuradha that you were a hardcore Maoist then how you are teaching the kids as per the syllabus of the State Government.

“As a teacher I am teaching those things which are in their syllabus and it does not matter that on what ideology or philosophy I believe, because study as per syllabus will make these kids capable of sustaining in this State and society”, it was her answer.
