An IED burnt Maoist Beerbal Parhaiya (45) was caught and jailed in Palamu on Thursday. Sources said this Maoist Beerbal Parhaiya was handling Maoists’ IED where in an accidental explosion he sustained acute burn injuries on his back.
There is no word as to when and where Beerbal sustained this burn injuries. However the nature of injuries suggested it could be of recent one as it was just a week or so that Beerbal was having his treatment by quacks in Kowwal village in Chhaterpur sub division. Beerbal comes from a village in latehar's Herhunj police station.
Beerbal was getting treatment at village Kowwal under Naudeeha police station in Palamu over the last one week. He was under supervision of two other Maoists Rakesh and Arvind Bhuiyan.
Chhaterpur DSP S Kumar has confirmed this arrest of Beerbal. DSP further said this Maoists has had burn injuries on his back. Sanjay said the injuries are attributed to the after effect of an IED blast which Beerbal was handling and got off suddenly. Although Beerbal was caught in civil dress police seized one uniform of him kept in a bag. Beerbal was hiding in a house of a Yadav for his medical treatment.
DIG police Saket Kumar Singh said the Palamu police did a good job as it laid hands on this Beerbal Parhaiya who had his stint in jail too.
About naxal history sheet DIG said police officials are working on it. Beerbal used to move in the dasta of Arvind Bhuiyan and Rakesh added DSP Sanjay. Beerbal was remanded in judicial custody on March 10.
