Wanted Maoist with a bounty of Rs 5 lakh, was arrested from Maithan Dhanbad. He was the sub-zonal commander of the maoist organization Bhakpa and the right hand of notorious maoist Nakul Yadav. He was given the rank of sub zonal commander after the murder of brothers of Thakur Saheb. He was the wanted criminal of Gumla, lohardaga and latehar district in more than dozen of cases.
In a Press Conference on Thursday SP Kartik S said, “The zonal commander of Koel Sankh zone of Bhakpa Kameshwar Yadav alias Kamlesh Yadav alias Kamleshwar Yadav alias Tiku, is the resident of Pandaria of Balumath Thana of latehar district. On 8 Nov 2015 he was arrested from Maithan of Dhanbad situated on Jharkhand-West Bengal border by a team set up by lohardaga district police on getting the information.
After the arrest Kameshwar told about the many explosives and bombs kept underground in different places at Kisko and Bagru Thana areas. To recover the said materials, a team was set up by Kobra, CRPF and district police and a special campaign was run. At the southward jungles Husru of Bagru Thana 300 pieces electronic detonators and 45 meters of cortex wire were recovered by digging the ground. At other places there were signs of fresh digging and SP told that they might have taken before the team, on getting the information of arrest.
SP further told, “The maoist Kameshwar Yadav is the sub zonal commander of Koel Sankh zone of Bhakpa Maoist organization. He joined the organization in 2011. He worked as a common member for many years. Then he accompanied Nakul Yadav and was given the rank of sub zonal commander in 2013. He also tried to make loss of police by executing land mines thrice but in vain each time. He murdered three persons for being informers of the police. On 21st March 2015 he murdered two brothers and a cousin of Thakur Bal Mukund Nath Shahdeo the ex- president of Jharkhand State pollution control board.”
SP told that for the arrest of the criminal, a campaign was being run in lohardaga, Gumla and latehar district police. On his arrest, the Koel Sankh zone of Bhkapa maoist organization suffered a huge loss. The criminal also told that there is no principle now for running the aprty. The policemen involved in this operation would be felicitated with an appreciation letter. Police also told that important information was furnished by the criminal. The SP said that investigation is on and the police expects to soon arrest Nakul Yadav as well.
