DC Manjunath Bhajantri took the charge from earlier DC Rajeev Ranjan on Friday. As 36th DC of the district Bhajantri talked with the mediapersons. The new DC said, “The development rate of the district will be expedited. There would be no distance between the people and the administration. We have to work with a team spirit.”
“Preference will be given to the development of people of Birhor community, Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes. The cultural and sorts programmes will be organised for their development. The campaign for promoting evening self study classes will be continued,” Bhajantri added. Notably, Bhajantri had served as DDC in Khunti before it. At the time of taking charge, AC Awdesh Kumar Pandey, SDO Saurabh Kumar Sinha, DTO Sabbir Ahmad and many office employees were present.
