Governor of Manipur Dr Syed Ahmed took his last breath at lilawati Hospital, in Mumbai on Sunday due to illness. Ahmed also was the Governor of Jharkhand between September 4, 2011 and May 17, 2015 before taking charge of the Governor of Manipur.
Governor Droupadi Murmu, CM Raghubar Das, politicians and several other officials of the State expressed grief on Ahmed’s demise. An official communiqué from Rajbhwan stated that Ahmed was a sensitive and soft spoken person ready to solve problems of the State. He was a litterateur and interested in learning new things.
