Fed up with alleged delay in his appointment under the rehabilitation scheme, a man on Saturday threatened a woman personal assistant (PA) of the Housing Development (H&UD) Secretary with a knife in the State Secretariat here.After getting information, Capital police station officials rushed to the department and detained the person, identified as Sushant Kumar Nayak of Dhenkanal. The accused has been detained and the knife he brandished threatening personal assistant Sasmita Mallick has been seized from his possession, said Capital police station IIC Manas Gadanaik.
"When I asked Sasmita madam (I want) to meet the department Secretary for an official purpose, she ignored me repeatedly. But I have not brandished any knife at her," the accused said."Verification is going on regarding this case. We are interrogating Sushant about the issue whether he threatened the PA," added the Capital police station IIC.
