Owing to financial crunch after consistent loss in business, a father of two children committed suicide under Katras police station area in Dhanbad district on Tuesday.
Reeling under acute financial crisis, laxmi Gupta (55) committed suicide by hanging himself in his house at Bhagat Mohalla at Katras. We found his body hanging from ceiling, police said.
“Gupta was businessman, his garment shop was t Bajrang Mension which was consistently running loss”, said his neighbour.
While another neighbour said that Gupta was in mental pressure, he recently purchased a land which was in dispute. “It might be a reason behind his suicide”, he added.
Gupta was residing at Bhagat Mohalla with his wife and two children including one sond and one daughter. His wife along with daughter went to her father’s house. Gupta was along with his son and before to commit suicide he sent his son out to play, said OC of local police station.
“No suicidal note was found from the spot, an inquiry has been initiated. Though we do not suspect any foulplay in the matter”, added the OC.
