A 42-year-old man was arrested on charges of raping his maid servant here on Wednesday. As per the complaint filed (119/19) by the mother of 17-year-old victim, she used to work as a maid in NPCC colony area of Bokaro Thermal, where the accused lived at quarter no GMT-39E, said police.
According to Officer in- Charge of Bokaro Thermal police station, UK Thakur, police on Tuesday arrested a 42-year-old employee, identified as Rahul Deo Kashyap, from his official quarter near NPCC Colony here for allegedly raping a girl following which the girl was also recovered from the accused person’s quarter in badly injured condition. First of all, she was sent to the nearby DVC hospital. Later, doctors referred her to BGH, Bokaro, added he.
As per the complaint filed by the 17-year-old victim's mother, she used to work as a maid servant in NPCC Colony area of Thermal city where the accused Rahul Kumar Kashyap lived, a police official said.
Sources said over a period of time, the girl became friendly with the accused, who worked as a maid at his quarter in Bokaro thermal. Suddenly, she refused to work in his house but continued working in nearby quarters. The accused called the girl to his home on Tuesday where he allegedly raped her repeatedly. The girl could not return home on Tuesday till 8pm. Then, her mother started searching her but failed to trace her.
According to the story narrated by police, a case was registered against the employee under IPC section 376(2)/376A/307/324IPC &6/14 POCSO ACT 2012 and arrested him on Tuesday.
Cops said they have arrested the accused, identified as Rahul Deo Kashyap, son of Inderdeo Prasad, a resident of Mokama in Bihar. The accused has been working as an assistant operator (mechanical) in DVC Bokaro thermal for the past 10 years.
