Under the Guidance of Director Incharge (DIC) BSL Amarendu Prakash, Bokaro
Steel Plant Township Maintenance is under prime actions of all round
improvement and renovation. In the same series as per commitment Team of Town
Administration department led by CGM Township B.S Popli is in full form of
actions on war footing in Bokaro Township pertaining to Road maintenance work
which this township was starving for long. In fact various sections of society
always raised their voice regarding the maintenance of Township depleting roads
ironically the same is heard post inception of the new management and in true
sense work is visible everywhere.
It is noteworthy that Strengthening of vital Road from Naya more to SWS station
via 132 KV Station is almost 80per cent completed. RCC road from CEZ Bridge
to Duggal gate scheduled to commence from 01.05.2022 to 31.05.2022 and this is
critical road at the peripheral of Bokaro steel Plant. Beside this Bokaro General
Hospital parking area Completed and 70 per cent of city center roads are
completed. Work is in progress for the remaining part whose expected completion
date is 20.05.2022. Sharing information DGM Civil VK Singh added that
strengthening of main roads (7.5 km) in Township under Phase 1 Roads from
Shastri Chowk to Pathargatta, Shastri chowk to Yoga Kendra, JNB Park to Jai
jawan Petrol pump and BGH rotary more to ADM Building is almost in final
phase. In parallel Stretch from BGH rotaries to ADM is in Progress and rotaries of
pathargatta and shastri Chowk in progress where remaining all stretches are
completed. Under the proposal first time RCC road was constructed from surya
temple turning to yoga Kendra in Bokaro Steel City.
Apart from all this major construction of RCC road from Dundibag to Sector-12 (4
lane road) police lines is under way and one side of same is almost completed and
other lane work started where after this road completion work of sector-11 road
near rail gate will be taken up whose expected completion date is 30.06.2022 and
again this being crucial road which connects Dhanbad internally from the city. Its
is to note that RCC road construction in sector-4, near CEZ gate, sector-11 & 12
are taken up as in particular areas due to water logging bituminous roads are
getting damaged regularly consequently to solve this issue permanently RCC roads
are being constructed in these specific and important areas . Thus including
existing road maintenance and under future line projects Total 90 km length of
Street roads (3m width) all over B S City will be repaired in next 12 months and
Total 60 Km of main roads throughout the city will be repaired in next 12 months.
Overall if above road maintenance work executes at least 70 per cent Bokaro Steel
City Roads infrastructure will truly take Steel strength Structured form.
