The not-so-trendy residents of Ranchi, usually preferring their typical shops for buying clothes, accessories and other household goods are gradually getting a feel of the mall culture. And for the generation-Y, this Mall culture is booming in Ranchi. If proofs are required the setting up of several departmental stores and multiplexes with malls in a short span of time gives one a clear idea.
There are four multiplexes functioning in this city namely Eyelex-2 screens, Hi Street Mall, The Galaxia Mall and Spring City Mall and many more are in pipeline. Shopaholics are absolutely in love with this boom in brands in their city as now all their favourite brands are in their reach.
Biba, W, Pantaloon and Reliance trends are customer’s preferred choices. “My much loved W and Biba for ethnic clothing are now in my city and I am really glad about it. Now I need not to go for online shopping for these brands I can go on store, try and buy my favourite apparel and accessories,” said Chandini Singh, a city shopper. It is not only retail sector that is witnessing this rumble but also food chains. Food giants like Dominos, Subway, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Pizza hut, Dosa Plaza, Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) with brand tag has also hit the market in the capital.
