The Security and Exchange Board of India organised a seminar under its financial literacy program in Saraswati Shishu Vidhya Mandir, Hazaribagh on Friday. The seminar was inaugurated by principal of the school Umesh Prasad. The key speaker of the seminar was Resource person of SEBI Dr. SC Sharma. The seminar was organised under the category of financial education for school children.
Resource Person of SEBI Dr SC Sharma enlightened the students about the laws and the role of SEBI. He said, “SEBI has been given the role of regulatory body and monitoring the issue, purchase and sale of the securities. He suggested the students to make their parents aware while selecting the investment port folio. Saving is the main source of Investment, so everyone should be aware of the facts and invest money cautiously for secured return.
Sharma further said that every person should be aware about the risks of financial market, the greed of high return can cause loss of their hard earned money. He suggested the students to make aware the society through the knowledge you gained from this seminar.
The Principal of the school Umesh Prasad said in his inaugural speech said that importance of SEBI is increasing day by day so everyone must be acquainted with the securities and its positive developments.
