Jharkhand State Commission for Women (JSCW) Chairperson Mahua Maji met CM Raghubar Das on Friday and submitted a written petition of around 20 inmates of the Probation Home who have been staying here since long due to negligence from family and pending judicial issues. CM assured Maji to look over the matter. For this reason, he is likely to visit the Probation Home in the coming week. Also, Maji requested him to set up shelter homes for victimized women in the state. “Presently, there is no rehabilitation home in Jharkhand except the Probation Home. In such circumstances, it is not possible to accommodate a large number of victimized women. CM has assured to initiate on the matter,” said Maji.
