The BJP state president and MP Deepak Prakash today targeted the state government over rising atrocities against scheduled caste and tribals. Prakash was reacting to the announcement of return of land lease given by the Chief Minister by the Mahadalit Musahar family, who were forcibly uprooted from Muru Matu village of Pandu block under Palamu district.
He said that two months ago, in the Murumatu village of Pandu in Palamu, the 42 Musahar family residence of Mahadalit society, residing for many generations, was destroyed by the oppressors of the minority community. But the government continued to do politics of appeasement.
He said that everyone loves his land. But in this JMM/Congress government, the land of the poor and downtrodden is being snatched continuously. He said that Mahadalit family wants to stay in their ancestral village in any case, but this government wants to keep them displaced under the pressure of vote bank. And the Chief Minister gave a lease to settle in another village. It has been proved by giving that the state government is neither friendly to the downtrodden nor the dalits. He said that the BJP has stood with the Dalits since the day of the incident. On the announcement of the return of the lease by the Dalit family, he said that the Mahadalits have exposed state government of their anti-Dalit face by showing the mirror to the government. The state government should be ashamed.
He said that the government, which runs the Aapki Dwar program, believes in destroying the doors of the houses of the Dalits.
