The Cabinet approved the proposal giving official language tag to four dialects that include Magahi, Bhojpuri, Maithili and Angika.
The languages would be provided status of second official language of the State. Informing about the decisions taken on Tuesday by the Cabinet Principal Secretary SKG Rahate added that approval of a Bill for setting up Ramkrishna Dharmarth Foundation University was also passed. Three more Bills for setting up Radha Govind University, Ramgarh, Ramchandra Chandravansi University, Palamu and Netaji Subhash University, Jamshedpur were also assented to be placed before the Assembly.
