In a heartwarming display of compassion and empathy, Std X students of Loyola School recently embarked on a social outreach program, visiting three institutions as part of their community engagement initiative.

Students spent quality time at the FURIDA old age home, engaging in heartfelt conversations with elderly residents. The experience proved enlightening, fostering a deeper appreciation for the wisdom and life experiences of the elderly.

The second group visited CHESHIRE HOME, where they overcame initial inhibitions to connect with fifty mentally challenged inmates. The students' singing and dancing created a moving experience, leaving many misty-eyed and highlighting the power of human connection.

The final group visited NIRMAL HRIDAY, an old age home, where they listened to moving narratives from the elderly residents. The students distributed collected groceries and stationery, making a positive impact on the lives of those they encountered.

Reflecting on their experiences, the students are set to cultivate gratitude for what they have, realizing the importance of empathy and social responsibility.

In a parallel educational endeavor, the students of class 8 explored environmental awareness during a visit to Jesu Bhawan.

Students learned about the Tarumitra movement, initiated by students aiming to promote environmental conservation. Presentations by Srishti Sahi, Aditi, and Ayindri Maurya delved into the history of Tarumitra and the crucial topic of wildlife conservation.

Engaging in the Chipko Andolan tradition, students hugged trees, connecting with the environmental advocacy pioneered by Amrita Devi from the Bishnoi community.

A quiz on environmental awareness, hosted by Akansh Verma and Sutirth Upadhyay, concluded the informative visit, reinforcing the students' commitment to environmental stewardship.
