One must think twice before making any vacation plan during this festive season, either no ticket is available in any trains or waiting list is too long to make any plan. Every day around 20 names are adding in waiting list.
The scenario of Garib rath, Allepy express and Yashwantpur express it that waiting tickets are also not available for these trains. Trains for Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata is also showing long waiting list.
Rajesh Prasad who had booked his ticket in Shatabdi express for Kolkata a month ago said, “When I booked my ticket it was in waiting list number 20 and till date the position remains the same. My agent told me that the ticket will get confirm on my boarding day but to me it seems next to impossible. My last hope is talkal reservation.”
According to private booking agent it is difficult to get confirm in ticket in talkal too. An agent Kamal Jain said, “I am getting end number of calls from the people insisting me to give them at least one confirm ticket and to everyone my reply is I am sorry. The scenario is so pathetic that it is difficult to find ticket in talkal too.”
Every year during festive season railways start atleast three new train in order to maintain rush of passengers for destination such as Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai. Majority of the population prefer to visit these places during festival. This time only one train is being started that is Ranchi – Katihar express train.
Ranchi DRM Gajanan Mallya said, “Due to some internal problem of the administration this time we are only starting one special train. I am aware about the present scenario and we are conducting meeting with our officials to find a solution for it. We are expecting that soon will find a concrete solution.”
