The District Planning Committee has passed a Budget of Rs 22.78 crore for the Annual Work Plan from the Backward Regions Grant Fund.
This Budget includes provision for agriculture & irrigation, welfare, education, employment and training roads and bridges, health, drinking water and sanitation, town development, ST/SC development, non-conventional energy and solar light and rural development. Panchayats got an estimated budget of Rs 1,220.74 lakh, panchayat samiti Rs 385.67 lakh, district councils Rs 393.23 lakh and municipal corporations got Rs 279.18 lakh.
In the minutes of the meet, repairing and renovation of Victoria Pond and construction of a bypass road was noted. MlA Kamal Kishor Bhagat, DDC Shrawan Soy, DPO Mahesh Bhagat and other department officials were present.
