The 31st foundation day of the district was celebrated with a lot of fervor. Rs 3.32 distributed among the beneficiaries of different schemes. The social welfare department helped 10 beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Kanya Daaan Yojna and 304 beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri luxmi ladli Yozna.
By animal husbandry department assistance was given to 11 beneficiaries, by agricultural department to 26 beneficiaries and by welfare department 35 cycles to school students. Besides it many the amounts under KCC scheme were given to many beneficiaries by several banks of the city.
District council head Jaywanti Kumari said, “All the shemes are being brought the ground level. But some unsocial people try to check the development works. There is a lack of education in the society. There must be mutual cooperation between the people and the administration.”
DC Paramjeet Kaur said, “The district has always been the abundant of minerals and natural sites. It will be developed as a tourist place. The cooperation of all is essential in any development work.”
SP Mrityunjay Kumar said, “Some misguided persons are proving hurdles in the development. They will be brought to the main tram of development. If they will surrender under the surrender scheme they must be helped.”
As a chief guest MlA KK Bhagat said, “There is a tremendous progress in women. They are being self dependent now. There are many shemes started by the government and many have availed the benefits of those shemes.”
