A development fair was organised on the 32nd foundation day of lohargada district at district head office ground on Sunday. In the programme Union MoS for Rural Development cum MP Sudarshan Bhagat, MlA Kamal Kishor Bhagat and DC Manjunath Bhajantri and SP Manoj Ratan Chothe were present.
In morning the prabhat pheri was organised by the school students. The programme was inaugurated by Sudarsan Bhagat. In development fair assets of Rs 7.7 crore was distributed to the beneficiaries by several departments. Many programmers worth 8.5 crores were also inaugurated by the guests.
On the occasion Sudarshan Bhagat said, “lohardaga district is a historical place. In last 32 years it has gone through many ups and downs. For the development of the district the state Government is working with the Center with harmony. The cooperation of all is needed for the development of the district. The public, officers and leaders should work honestly and with transparency.”
MlA Kamal Kishor Bhagat said, “For last ten years the district is progressing by leaps and bounds. Although in 32 years the expected development rate has not been achieved. Many progressive works are still to be completed.”
DC Manjunath Bhajantri extended his good wishes to all and said, “For the development of the district the plans by central and state Governments are being run.”
