The pious festival of Mahashivratri was celebrated with a lot of fervour in the district. The devotees started to offer prayers to lord Shiva from early morning.
On the occasion of Mahashivratri many programmes were organised at Khakhparta temple and prayers started at 7 am followed by Bhajan-Kirtan. Jharkhand Congress chief-cum-lohardaga MlA Sukhdeo Bhagat inaugurated the prayers by cutting ribbon and also participated in Bhajan programme.
likewise the prayers were also organised at Swayambhu Mahadev cultural and historical trust Chhatar Bagicha, Mahadeo Ahsram, East Gola road Shiva temple, Senha, Kuru, Bhandra and all others block.
