Locals raised a ruckus at Hunaman Nagar in the State capital on Sunday suspecting that a man, who returned from Koderma and moved in at a house in the locality, might have attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in New Delhi.

Some locals gathered outside the man’s residence and raised slogans, sources said. They asked the man to get tested first and then return to the neighbourhood under Sukhdeonagar Police Station.

Dy SP Kotwali, Ajit Kumar Vimal informed that the person returned from Koderma on Saturday. When his neighbours got to know the fact that he returned from Koderma where one Coronavirus infected case came to light, then they suspected that he is also connected with the infected person, he added.

After getting information of the uproar Sukhdeonagar Police Station team reached on the spot and after consultation with senior District Administrative officers they sent the person at Khelgaon for his sample test, said Vimal.

A 22 year old youth Amarjeet Singh, neighbor of the suspected person informed that the family of the person is living here since last two to two and half months but the suspected person returned from Koderma on Saturday. The doctor gave him medicine for three days. Even after taking the medicine, he did not recover, then on April 3 he reached the Government hospital in Markacho from where he was sent to Koderma Sadar Hospital. On April 6 his samples were sent to RIMS for investigation.

Nine members of the youth’s family have been sent to quarantine center by Giridih District Administration after the youth was found to be Corona positive. At the same time, the doctor who treated the young man in Markacho has been sent to the home quarantine and the youth has been shifted to Kovid 19 Holy Family Hospital.
